Claire and Steve are an easygoing, no fuss couple. They’re more than a little obsessed with superheroes and Star Wars. They’re regulars at the farmer’s market. Claire can make anything with fabric and generally has a colorful flower tucked behind her ear. Plus, the two of them are ice cream, flavored milk, and dessert connoisseurs (never a bad quality to have in a friend, amirite?).
Their only fault? Cat people. (Kidding, kidding.)
Then they got Indiana.
When Steve and Claire mentioned they were bringing their Australian Shepherd rescue pup, Indiana, to our holiday photoshoot, I was beyond thrilled. I love when friends include pets on their Christmas cards—everyone takes themselves a little less seriously and the end result is always a bit softer and more authentic. Plus, how could you not want to look at Indy’s sweet face all day?
As the sun began to set on our San Jose park location, I snapped lots of family holiday pictures. For some, we played with santa hats and Christmas signs. For others, we let Indiana take center stage and entertain us with her puppy antics. In the end, I'm not sure which was sweeter, the way Steve and Claire looked at one another, or the way they looked at Indy. You decide.
